Fast Wire Cutters

A Fastwire cutter uses an abrasive wire to cut the material much like a band saw. The wire is driven by a high-speed electric motor, and can cut through a variety of foam types. Uni-Cam SA's Fastwire machines are a fast and economical solution for cutting a wide range of materials. Uni-Cam SA can provide two standard types of Fast Wire Cutter, either the Horozantal wire or the Vertical wire. All our Fast Wire cutters use the Mach3 system for operation.

Fast Wire cutters are generally used for cutting rubber foam products, but may be used to cut most low density materials, such as Glass wool panels, rock wool, EPS to name a few. We can also fit a fourth axis rotary table so that the machine can produce round objects.

We make two standard sizes of Fastwire, "2000 x 1200 x 1200" and "3000 x 2000 x 2000", but can also make custom sizes to your requirements.

Fastwire – Horizontal – Gantry Moves – 2000 x 1200 x1200

The gantry moves along the fixed bed, which is the most compact form of Fastwire.

A dust extractor must be attached to the gantry in order to control the amount of dust the machine produces.

All our Fastwire machines are driven by rack and pinion and closed loop stepper systems.

The bed surface is made from MDF.

The wire is tentioned pneumatically and can be replaced without the use of any tools. If the wire breaks the machine is automatically stopped.
